Evorad Research PACS can be deployed in three forms:

1. As the primary PACS solution for both clinical and research use
2. As a secondary Research PACS solution sharing information with a central clinical PACS solution by any vendor
3. In a multi-site PACS environment for information sharing among organizations cooperating in a research program.

Integration with Matlab for image processing

Integration with Matlab

• Image series or individual image can be transferred to Matlab in the form of 3D or 2D matrices
• 3D or 2D matrices can be transferred back from Matlab to image series or individual images within Evorad Research PACS and then included in current examination
• Matlab figures can be imported directly from Matlab into DICOM images within Evorad Research PACS and then added to current examination.

Measurements exporting to worksheets

Measurements for ROIs can be exported collectively to shared worksheets including patient and examination information for statistical processing.

Development environment for image processing techniques

Custom Image Processing Techniques

New image processing algorithms can be developed, tested and updated from within the workstation. Since the workstation is connected to the central server, new algorithms can be applied directly to current examinations. As soon as they are verified, new image processing techniques can be “published” for use by all system users.

Research project grouping

Patients and examinations can be grouped under a research project so that they can be collectively processed by users.
